Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance – Personal Data and Privacy Policy Statement
This privacy policy statement ensures that Hostlink (HK) Limited (hereinafter referred to as “the Company” or “we”) complies with the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486 (“the Ordinance”) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, regarding the collection, use, security, retention, and access of personal data.
The term “personal data” in this privacy policy statement has the meaning as defined in the Ordinance.
Our Company’s Privacy Policy
The Company is committed to safeguarding the security of customer’s personal data and complying with the provisions of the Ordinance. We also ensure that any personal data collected is kept strictly confidential and protected. All personal data collected or provided by customers will be collected and used as described below. In certain circumstances, customer calls made to and received by the Company’s ordering and/or service hotline and/or inquiry phone lines may be recorded. The purpose of the recording includes quality management, evaluation of employee performance (unless otherwise requested by customers explicitly), and recording of sales contracts entered into with customers. Customers have the right to refuse to provide their personal data; however, the Company may not be able to complete the requested services.
Disclosure of Personal Data
The personal data held by the Company will be kept confidential. We may provide the collected customer’s personal data to our suppliers, contractors, agents, and other network service providers for the purposes mentioned above. In such cases, the aforementioned third parties are not allowed to use customer’s personal data for purposes beyond the specified scope. Personal data may also be disclosed to any person based on any legal or contractual obligations or court requirements, provided that they can demonstrate their rights/authority to access the data. In addition, personal data may be disclosed in the circumstances specified in Part VIII (Exemption Provisions) of the Ordinance, where personal data is exempted from the constraints of the Third Data Protection Principle.
Security of Personal Data
The Company places great importance on security and consistently strives to ensure the security of customer’s personal data. The Company has implemented sufficient protection measures to prevent unauthorized and/or accidental access, processing, deletion, or other uses by others. The Company uses appropriate security encryption systems to obtain personal data. When personal data is stored electronically, it will be kept in encrypted form. Personal data, whether stored electronically on computers or in hard copies, can only be accessed by authorized personnel or employees of the Company.
- Personal data will be retained until the original purposes of collecting such data or purposes directly related to it are achieved unless the retention of such personal data is required according to any applicable laws or contractual provisions; and
- Personal data will be cleared from the Company’s electronic, manual, and other storage systems after a specified storage period based on the above criteria and the Company’s internal procedures.

Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and the Google tag to measure page views, navigation, scrolling, outbound links, file downloads, video engagement, form interactions, domain searches and successful enquiries. Measurement can include pseudonymous browser identifiers, referral and campaign information, city-level location, device and browser details, and aggregated demographics and interests through Google signals.

If you accept all, when the user-provided data feature is enabled, this website may hash contact details you provide, such as email addresses and phone numbers, for Google's user-provided data measurement features. Our custom analytics events send service categories, language and result counts; they do not include your name, email address, phone number, enquiry subject or message. Contact form details are separately processed to respond to your enquiry.
Google processes measurement data and may process it outside Hong Kong. Event and user data retention in this Analytics property is set to 14 months, with the user retention period reset by new activity. Aggregated reports can be retained for longer. Transfer of Personal Data Outside Hong Kong
The Company may, when necessary, prudently transfer certain personal data to places outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for the purpose of collecting such data or purposes directly related to it. Such transfer will comply with the current provisions of the Ordinance.
Direct Marketing
With customer’s consent, the Company may use customer’s personal data for direct marketing purposes, including information about our products and services related to information and communication technology. In cases where customers request not to use their personal data for direct marketing purposes, the Company will respect their choice. If you wish to stop receiving direct marketing information from the Company, you can notify the Customer Service Department at any time.

This privacy policy statement may be revised from time to time, and all processing of personal data will be subject to the latest version of this privacy policy statement. This privacy policy was originally written in English and translated into Chinese. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions, the English version shall prevail.
